Kara founded Meritage Talent Solutions to provide tailored talent acquisition solutions to employers and employment services companies. Kara has over 17 years of leadership experience in talent acquisition and recruiting for several FORTUNE® 500 organizations, including Boeing, Intel, and SAIC.

As a seasoned talent acquisition executive, Kara has successfully launched multiple employment branding campaigns, implemented applicant tracking systems, developed and executed recruitment strategies in a variety of industries and economic conditions, and created social media recruitment strategies. Her years of experience as a talent acquisition executive uniquely position Kara to provide value to employment services companies. She helps job boards, recruitment advertising agencies and recruitment technology companies through go-to-market and pricing strategies, functional design consulting, and product reviews. Kara is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

Kara’s depth of knowledge paired with her straightforward approach help her clients develop and implement solutions rapidly, thus increasing their ROI. Kara has an MBA from the R.H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and a BS from Carnegie Mellon University.

Kara became a world traveler during her time at Intel as an International SAP Trainer. Those experiences sparked her passion for new places and cultures. She has visited over 20 counties on 5 continents for both personal and business travel.

Her other passions include fitness, wine, advocating for homeless animals and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Moe Hutt

Principal Consultant

Moe helps talent acquisition teams solve complex problems by customizing best practices to fit the unique needs of your company.  She has designed and implemented enterprise intern, employee referral, contingent workforce and recruiter training programs. From drafting recruiter service level agreements to managing the launch of a new employer brand,  she specializes in striking a balance between creativity and efficiency.

After 15 years in talent acquisition, Moe knows what it is like to barely have enough time and resources to react much less plan strategically.  She loves finding the right blend of solutions to make things better for recruiters and management. Her strategy audit provides clients with actionable solutions to align talent acquisition programs with business strategy.
